Rush Limbaugh gets booted from St. Louis Rams bidding group
On October 14, 2009, David Checketts, owner of St. Louis Blues and head of the group that put in a bid to buy the St. Louis Rams, announced that Rush Limbaugh was dropped from the group over the controversy he created by his past willingness to demonize individuals with racist remarks.
According to MSNBC, Checketts felt, although Limbaugh’s involvement in the team policies would have been limited, it became clear that the negative exposure was hurting the group’s chances of having a successful bid.
