Janet Jackson and her father Joe Jackson attended the 2009 BET awards. The television production was retooled to be a tribute to Michael Jackson after the “King of Pop” died from cardiac arrest.  Janet Jackson spoke on behalf of the Jackson family members and thanked everyone for their well wishes.
